About

My name is Rose, I’m 28-years-old, but 26 in Covid years. I spent my early 20s living and solo-traveling abroad.. and now I’m spending my late 20s traveling with my partner (we love to see it). I originally started this blog in 2016 to keep connected with my family and friends back home, but now it’s turned into a resource for others. When I’m not traveling, I love to read fantasy books, bake cookies, and ask people if I can come over and hang out with their pets.

About Peripatetic Passport

I first started this blog in 2016 to stay connected with my family while I was studying abroad. I’ve kept a journal as long as I can remember, and in my early 20s, I wrote for Shut Up and Go, a travel company created by a former YouTube duo with a million+ followers, Damon and Jo. Unfortunately, it’s no longer around, but it inspired me to continue making this blog.

So what will I find here?

Just about anything under the travel umbrella – culture, language, solo travel, teaching, and studying abroad. I say this humbly, but I’ve lived abroad in four countries: Australia, Thailand, Mexico, and Egypt. And I solo backpacked Western Europe one summer. I’ve been to around 25 countries but have yet to go to South America!

One thing I emphasize in my writing is that although traveling is great, it’s romanticized. That being said – I hope to inspire you while being as honest as possible. While I’ve seen cool places, behind many of the photos is a girl paying 8 euros to sleep in a hostel, getting lost, or having her passport stolen. If you travel for the adventure, the good and the bad, you’ve come to the right place!
